Highland Abkhazia is one of the best places for Heliskiing in the Caucasus: a huge territory, varied terrain, great snow! Here you will find everything – from wide endless fields to excellent tree skiing or steep couloirs. Finally you will explore the amazing untouched nature of Western Caucasus!
The helipad is located in Abkhazia, a 15-minute drive from the Russian border in the Abaata Hotel. The transfer from Krasnaya Polyana to the helipad takes approximately one hour. From the Olympic Park (Adler) or Sochi airport it's 30 minutes drive.

We highly recommend to stay at the Abaata Hotel the night before skiing! This will allow us to fly to the mountains earlier, which is important, because in the mountains of Abkhazia the weather may go bad by noon, due to the proximity of the sea. The hotel is very comfortable, there is a park on the territory, a heated pool, a bathhouse, a beach and a restaurant with European and national cuisine.
Skiing area: Tele-Bashe ridge, Ah-Ag Mount, Arabica Mount. These ridges, nearest to the Black sea, receive the greatest amount of precipitation
Helicopters: Eurocopter AS-350B3e.Groups: 4 guests / 1 guide. One helicopter can simultaneously serve two groups.
Guides: certified RMGA ski guides or UIFGM guides.
The average vertical drop on the program for one descent is about 700m. We usually land at an altitude of 2200-2700, takes off at 1300-1800 meters.

In case of unstable weather, when the possibility of skiing becomes apparent only when it enters the ski area, the organizing company offers the group members the calculation of the program price based on the flight time. The price of a flight hour is 3400 EUR per hour per helicopter, per-minute billing.
In case the ABS system is activated outside the situation of the avalanche danger the payment is 145 EUR.
The reason for non-departure can be: non-flying weather, high avalanche danger, administrative reasons that are not dependent on the organizing company (for example, a flight ban). In case that such circumstances became known before the departure to the mountains, but after the group arrived to the helipad, the heliski organizing company will charge compensation in the amount of 75 EUR per person.
In case of non-departure for the reasons, depending on the organizing company (shortage of customers in the group, helicopter unavailability, etc.), we guarantee, at the request of the customer, a 100% refund.
Refunds are not made due to the inability to ski for the following reasons:
– illness or injury received both before and during the program;
– the impossibility of skiing due to fatigue;
– unwillingness or impossibility for the client to ride due to bad weather conditions or severe snow conditions (in the condition that safe skiing is possible on this day);
According to the decision of the guide, the participant can be removed from skiing if the level of his technical or physical training does not match the other group members – the participant significantly "slows down" the group, creates a danger to himself or other group members. In this case, the organizing company does not make any compensation.
