Fly into Anchorage or Juneau with connections, then a regional flight or a transfer to the base. The route depends on the trip you choose; we'll help you find flights.
In Alaska the weather decides everything: usually two to four flying days a week. The package is counted in flight hours, and there's plenty to do at the base on down days — a ski lift, a snowcat, fishing, the northern lights.
Skiing from almost 2,400 m down to sea level, and the treeline is higher than anywhere else in Alaska — 750–900 m — so there are trees for bad weather. Most slopes are 35–45°. Heliskiing here dates from 1995 — the first base in Alaska.
Four A-Star B3 helicopters, with the Alyeska resort next to the base: on no-fly days you ski the lifts or ride a snowcat. A hotel at the foot of the resort.
From wide open slopes of 1,500 m at 25° to couloirs of 450 m at 60°. Glaciers, almost everything above the treeline. The only heliski base in Cordova, a 28-minute flight from Anchorage.

Breakfast, transfer to the helipad — the base has several for different weather. Skiing on the group's flight hours: 5–11 runs a day, which takes an hour to an hour and a half of flying. Dinner at the base.
Breakfast, transfer to the airport.
Sauna, hot tub, the helicopter at the door. No frills: a simple lodge run by its owners.
A hotel at the foot of the resort, a spa, a lift pass for no-fly days.
A lodge on the shore of the bay four kilometres from town, with the helicopters right by the rooms.

In Alaska guests are welcome from a confident intermediate level: if you ski black runs at a resort with confidence, heliskiing here is within your reach. Most guests are advanced, and groups are put together by ability.

The guide picks runs for the group.
Transceiver, shovel, probe, airbag pack, radio, helmet and a glacier harness are provided.
Almost everywhere in Alaska you need travel insurance that covers heliskiing and evacuation.
