Summer in the north is winter in the Andes. Six days of heli-skiing near Santiago: five zones, runs of up to two kilometres, and the nearest drop-offs a 10–15-minute flight from the lodge. Five zones around Santiago
Chile is a way to extend your off-piste season on completely new ground: good snow, lines to suit the group's level, and a lot of vertical kilometres in a day. The trip starts and ends in Santiago; most of the time the group stays at the lodge and skis the different zones.
Altar Paloma Leonera
The zone around Mount El Plomo, 5,480 metres.
El Cepo
A huge number of runs of varying difficulty, average vertical 1,000–1,500 metres.
Los Olivaros
The southern side of El Plomo. Intermediate and advanced runs, the longest around 2,000 metres.
Parraguerre
At the foot of the Tupungato volcano, 6,800 metres. Long runs and the best spots for filming.
Lo Valdez
The area of the San José volcano, with runs of varying difficulty.
Punta de Lobos
If the group agrees, we fly to the coast near Pichilemu to surf.
Seven days
Morning arrival in Santiago, transfer to the helipad, introductions to the guides, a safety briefing and avalanche rescue training. At 11:30 we take off for the ski zone, with lunch in the mountains. By evening — check-in at the lodge and dinner.
Breakfast at eight, skiing from nine, lunch in the mountains, back at the lodge by four, dinner at six.
Last day of skiing; after lunch, return to Santiago and check-in at the hotel. The evening is free.
Breakfast at the hotel, flight home.
A lodge with a 1907 palace
The trip starts and ends in Santiago; for most of it the group is based at the lodge. The nearest drop-offs are 10–15 minutes' flight away.

A historic 1907 palace in the grounds of the lodge where the group stays six nights, more than a hundred years of history. 50 rooms, each decorated differently.
Sequoia
South American cooking with seasonal produce from the Maipo Valley, and a collection of local wines to go with it.
8 hectares, 1909
A landscaped park laid out in 1909. More than 1,000 century-old trees: sequoias, araucarias, cedars and oaks.

Built in the French style by the architect Alberto Cruz Montt, who also designed the Club de la Unión and the Central Bank headquarters in Santiago.

Heliskiing in the Andes is easier than it looks
Heliskiing has a reputation for being difficult and extreme — that's a common misconception. The thing we hear most from first-timers before a trip is "I'm not ready yet". In practice the bar is lower than it seems.
Untracked snow forgives mistakes
Heliskiing is easier than resort freeriding on chopped-up snow. We fly to where nobody has touched it.
Runs chosen for your group
With a helicopter we are not tied to lifts or set routes: the guide picks the drop-off and pick-up for the group's level and makes the route easier or more challenging, so it works for everyone, from experienced riders to beginners. A little off-piste experience in soft snow is enough.
One guide per four, and an avalanche kit
Four riders and a guide in the helicopter. ABS airbag pack, transceiver, probe and shovel for everyone are included in the price. The trip starts with a safety briefing and avalanche rescue training.

Founder Peter Yastrebkov is a certified ski guide of the Russian Mountain Guides Association. Heliskiing is freeride with a helicopter. Without one, we guide freeride in Krasnaya Polyana. On request, we organise a freeride school — get in touch if you want to learn.
